Good morning, I was trying to image last night and could not get my photos to stack. I had my exposure at 3 seconds, gain at 350. I am using a celestron 8se. My live stacking just wouldn’t work. Any suggestions on settings? The moonlight was very bright, too. Would a CLS filter help? Thank you

3 seconds maybe too short for DSO image, and it will hard to do the plate solve in live stacking.

Use: F/6 w/ focal length 432 apo on large galaxies – i.e. Pleides, andromeda. Make mosiacs with Astro Pixel Processor.
Question: How long take a I take sub exposures for before noise levels get too much. Can I take 3 minute exposures for 2 hours?
