Product Description
ASIAIR PRO is a smart WiFi device. It is equipped with a lightweight power management module, ample USB interfaces, and multiple dovetail mounting methods.
With the rich features of the ASIAIR App, the whole procedure from device integration to image capture runs particularly smooth.
ASIAIR PRO is the second generation of ZWO that has been continuously improved and newly designed since the first generation of ASIAIR was released in July 2018.
Outstanding Features
1. Excellent craftsmanship, strong tactile appeal
Superb craftsmanship with a strong tactile appeal ASIAIR PRO shell is made out of aluminum and processed by CNC tech. After the surface is anodized, it not only protects the shell well, but also has a comfortable feel. The size of the whole machine is 92 x 67 x 35 mm, making its size and weight excellent, which can be easily grasped by hand.
2. Unique look and easy installation
The slot/port position of ASIAIR PRO is nice and symmetrical, with M4 and 1/4 inch openings on the bottom and the side. With the use of the dovetail, the installation and removal become easy. The whole machine adopts bright vibrant Ferrari red tones, and the front is painted with laser star maps of the constellation Ursa Minor and Ursa Major, which is very beautiful.
3. Integrated power management, more storage space
ASIAIR PRO is equipped with a lightweight power management module. There are four DC 5.5 x 2.1 mm power outputs on the side of the body, one DSLR shutter release port, two USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports each. The power supply is stable and reliable, the interface is rich and diverse, and the wiring is easy and orderly. It also comes with 84 GB of free storage, so you can capture images freely.
Note:ASIAIR PRO’s or ASIAIR Plus’s USB power supply is not enough for ASI6200/ASI2600/ASI533//ASI071MC cameras to work normally, so please use an external 12V power supply, which can be connected to the ASIAIR PRO’s power management as well.
4. LED indicator, clearly indicates the working status
The LEDs will show the working status clearly. What’s more, it has the key operation warning tone, which makes the whole operation under control.
Note: You can enhance the WiFi signal of ASIAIR by using the ZWO WiFi extender.
App Functions
ASIAIR supports both iOS and Android systems.
1. Simple APP interface, as easy as 1, 2, 3.
2. Accurate focus: After the rough focus is completed, select one star, then accurate focusing can be done through curves such as brightness and HFD. Start from version v1.5.3, the autofocus can also be completed with ZWO EAF by remote control.
3. Polar Alignment: Based on the powerful plate-solving function, you can finish arc-second polar axis alignment only within few minutes.
4. Accurate GoTo: With the rich celestial object database, precise GoTo can be achieved after selecting the target.
5. Stable guiding: Independent and stable guiding can be achieved without the PC. You can choose single-star guiding or multi-star guiding as you wish.

Dovetail Groove for ASIAIR PRO
The dovetail groove is designed for ASIAIR PRO to connect Vixen dovetail plate. It can help achieve more convenient and flexible installation methods compared to the original dovetail plate of ASIAIR PRO.
The way how to connect it to your ASIAIR PRO:
Connection tips:
1. Remove the original dovetail plate of ASIAIR PRO.
2. Fix the dovetail groove to ASIAIR PRO with the screws you just take off from the plate.
3. It’s recommended to put the bolt towards the box side as shown in the pictures above and not to block the USB ports and status indicators.

Or is it possibile to split the signal from main camera going out to asi air pro and to PC? That way I can still use asi air for polar aligment and plate solving and PC for planetary imaging. thanks

hello, I know it is not possibile to do planetarny imagng with asiair pro but do you consider at least option to connect asi air camera to asiair pro and then asiair pro with PC via the usb cabel to use asi studio to capture the video? I know I can connect camera to PC directly but I see some benefits of my proposal. thx

I have got asi air pro connected to iExos 100 over serial and am able to access the mount through the asi air app. I am able to control the mount as well being able to slew to an object etc.,
The problem I have is sidereal tracking does not seem to work even though the tracking is enabled on the app to track sidereal.
How could I get the mount to track through asi air pro?
I have tried to connect the same mount over serial to a computer and using POTH, I am able to see the tracking works without any issues.
What is it that I am missing in asi air pro where its not tracking proper.

Please try to change your Exos 2 to serial mode by the following steps when you attempt to connect it to the Asiair
1. Switch your computer over to the PMC-Eight-xxxx SSID specific to your controller.
2. Using Putty, TELNET into address 192.168.47.1 port 54372.
3. Enter “ESX!” on the terminal window and you should see an “ESX0!” response which indicates that the communications interface was switched to the serial port (interface 0).
4. You should now be able to use the SERIAL mini-USB Type B (female) connection with your mini-USB Type B (male) to USB Type A (male) cable to communicate with the iEXOS 2

Not sure where to asked the question but is it possible when doing a PA to aim the scope to the left or right a bit when first starting. The reason why is that when my scope turns 60 degrees it hits the tree line 🤯

Greg Crawford – :
Dear ZWO Support,
I trust that you are staying safe from the COVID-19 disease.
I have an enquiry about the ASIAIR PRO.
I have a problem which the ASIAIR PRO might solve, but I want to be sure.
I have an electro-luminescent Flat Panel used in the production of flat images for image calibration. The flat panel is powered by a power source; and controlled by a USB connection, which, when connected to the USB port of my Windows 10 computer, shows up as a serial port in the Device Manager. This enables control of the Flat Panel.
I want to mount the flat panel on the inside of my observatory’s dome. This means it cannot have any cables connected to the walls or floor of the observatory, as the dome is in constant movement. It is easy to provide power to the inside of the dome by having a solar panel and battery attached to the dome. The problem is making a computer connection to the Flat Panel equipment, and having the Flat Panel show up as a Com port on the computer.
If the ASIAIR PRO is attached to the inside of the dome and a USB connection is made between the ASIAIRPRO and the Flat Panel equipment which is also attached to the inside of the dome, by means of a USB cable, can a computer (PC) make a wireless connection to the ASIAIR PRO enabling control of the Flat Panel?
I hope that this question makes sense. If not, get back to me.
If the ASIAIR PRO can make this connection, what kind of current draw does it have to sustain the wireless connection if this is its only purpose? I know that the ASIAIR PRO requires a 2 amp power supply for all of its functions, but I am just thinking about current draw for a single wireless USB connection, and the implications this would have for battery selection.

Just noticed something last night while imaging.
Is there a way to pause the imaging session in order to refocus if necessary?
If not could you think about adding that function?
Thanks
