ASIAIR PRO is a smart WiFi device. It is equipped with a lightweight power management module, ample USB interfaces, and multiple dovetail mounting methods.

With the rich features of the ASIAIR App, the whole procedure from device integration to image capture runs particularly smooth.

ASIAIR PRO is the second generation of ZWO that has been continuously improved and newly designed since the first generation of ASIAIR was released in July 2018.

Outstanding Features

1. Excellent craftsmanship, strong tactile appeal

Superb craftsmanship with a strong tactile appeal ASIAIR PRO shell is made out of aluminum and processed by CNC tech. After the surface is anodized, it not only protects the shell well, but also has a comfortable feel. The size of the whole machine is 92 x 67 x 35 mm, making its size and weight excellent, which can be easily grasped by hand.

2. Unique look and easy installation

The slot/port position of ASIAIR PRO is nice and symmetrical, with M4 and 1/4 inch openings on the bottom and the side. With the use of the dovetail, the installation and removal become easy. The whole machine adopts bright vibrant Ferrari red tones, and the front is painted with laser star maps of the constellation Ursa Minor and Ursa Major, which is very beautiful.

ASIAIR PRO is equipped with a lightweight power management module. There are four DC 5.5 x 2.1 mm power outputs on the side of the body, one DSLR shutter release port, two USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports each. The power supply is stable and reliable, the interface is rich and diverse, and the wiring is easy and orderly. It also comes with 84 GB of free storage, so you can capture images freely.

Note:ASIAIR PRO’s or ASIAIR Plus’s USB power supply is not enough for ASI6200/ASI2600/ASI533//ASI071MC cameras to work normally, so please use an external 12V power supply, which can be connected to the ASIAIR PRO’s power management as well.

4. LED indicator, clearly indicates the working status

The LEDs will show the working status clearly. What’s more, it has the key operation warning tone, which makes the whole operation under control.

We have also been working closely with major manufacturers to complete bringing in the match of iOptron, Vixen, Rainbow, Avalon, Explore Scientific and other models (including some new models). For now, the ASIAIR PRO is able to support hundreds of equatorial mounts from more than 20 manufacturers worldwide. For details, please refer to the “ASIAIR PRO User Manual”.

Connection tips:

1. Remove the original dovetail plate of ASIAIR PRO.

2. Fix the dovetail groove to ASIAIR PRO with the screws you just take off from the plate.

3. It’s recommended to put the bolt towards the box side as shown in the pictures above and not to block the USB ports and status indicators.

Warranty & Return

1. ZWO hereby declares that it will provide customers with a warranty period of 2 years for ZWO branded products (excluding APO), as per this policy. APO products will be covered by a 1-year free warranty service, starting from the day following the receipt of the product by the customer. For ASIAIR Plus users, the warranty period will commence from the day of device activation.

2. If a User encounters the following Dead on Arrival (DOA) and contacts ZWO within the corresponding time limit to issue the Product purchase invoice and relevant evidence, ZWO will provide door-to-door pick-up service and, as appropriate, after-sale replacement (or partial replacement), repair or return (or partial return) service for the following Products:
1) Product quality problem
Provided that a User detects a quality problem and contacts ZWO within 30 days after receipt of the Products, and ZWO support team confirms that the Products indeed have a quality problem or defect after their inspection, ZWO will provide free replacement service towards such Products;
2) Product transportation problem
Provided that a User finds obvious signs of bubbling, serious overstocking, or deformation on the outer package of the Products upon receipt of the Products, and provides ZWO with pictures of the outer package and proof of receipt within 3 days after receipt of such Products, ZWO support team will verify the actual shipper and determine the responsible party for such transportation problem. In the event that ZWO is the actual shipper, ZWO will be responsible for providing the relevant return or replacement service, however, if the Products are directly sold or transported to the User by an agent of ZWO, the agent will be responsible for providing the relevant return or replacement service.

3. If the Products are under the following circumstances, they are not within the scope of warranty service, ZWO may provide maintenance services to the Users:
1) The Warranty Period of the Products has expired; or
2) The Products are injected into liquid or affected by moisture or corrosion; or
3) The Products are damaged by an external force (such as the broken of the camera protection window glass, the deformation of the product shell, the broken of the USB port, etc.); or
4) Disassembling, repairing by a third party, refurbishment of the Products (such as downloading erroneous firmware) without the written authorization of ZWO; or
5) The product system is modified, or the maintenance notice is lost or changed; or
6) Product quality problem caused by installation not following the requirements or instructions for the Products; or
7) Physical damage or failure of the Products caused by the force majeure (such as strong vibration or extrusion such as flood, fire, earthquake, or thunder stroke); or
8)Damage caused by the improper User operation during the period of shooting or use, such as using without the equipment protection or direct shooting of the sun; or
9) No valid purchase invoice or warranty certificate; or
10) The Products are second-hand products.
Any quality problem with the accessories or other parts of the Products is not a condition for the return or change of the Products, and the User may solely request to replace the accessories with new ones, which shall be handled after verification by ZWO support team.
If the issue with your ZWO product was caused by certain damage (such as severe damage not covered by the 2-year warranty), you might have to pay the replacement value.

4. For the normal repair or replacement of the Products during the Warranty Period, the User will bear the return cost. When returning the Products, Users shall specify the actual reasons for the damage to the Products, and shall provide the corresponding valid certificates, such as pictures or videos, etc.
For the Products that need to be replaced after being confirmed by ZWO in writing, the User shall return the Products with the complete package, together with all accessories, manuals, etc., to the address designated by ZWO.
By sending back the product to ZWO, the User agrees to pay out-of-warranty fees that may arise during the repair process of the product. ZWO will send back the product after charging.

5. If a User encounters any problem during the use of ZWO Products, you may at any time contact ZWO for technical support via ZWO Support.

For the Products that need to be returned for after-sales service, ZWO will provide the corresponding RMA code for reference.
ZWO will not accept any products having no RMA code that have been returned privately without ZWO written confirmation.

6. If a User purchases the ZWO Products from a ZWO agent, the User may contact the ZWO agent directly for the relevant after-sales service.

      The ASIAIR Pro is compatible with Atlas Pro, but not sure of the Atlas Pro AZ/EQ-G, if the two mounts have the same protocol, I think it will be OK.
      If the ASIAIR Pro supports the Orion Atlas Pro AZ/EQ-G, please share the result with us and we will share it with other customers.

    I have a Canon 40D which works w/ the ASIAIR PRO. I’m receiving the Canon 6D Mii in a few months. Is there a chance the 6D Mii will work as well?

    I am using Bluestacks emulator to run ASI Air Pro software

    1) Please provide any detailed advice on doing so – are there step by step instructions ?
    2) What Wi-FI settings are required on the ASI Air Pro using a Vonets Wi-Fi Bridge & Repeater to connect to the home network. My PC Desktop is connected to the home network and will be running the Bluestacks emulator.

    Hello,
    Asiair Pro works great for me. But I have one issue. Wenn I’m ready phpotographing my first object, the mount won’t move to the second object. I have to shut down the Asiair Pro, and restart. Then it works, and I can slew to my second object. With this issue, I can’t use the new planmode.

    Asiair Pro and the app have the latest firmware. Also my mount has the newest firmware. My mount is the iOptron CEM25p.

    I have an ASIAIR PRO with the latest app and firmware. It works fine with my Celestron AVX mount, but on my Orion Sirius mount with V4.39 controller firmware the ASIAIR switches the mounts longitude to east when I connect to the mount. The ASIAIR app and the mount are both set to the same west longitude before I connect, but after I connect the app reports the mount’s longitude as east and when I check the hand controller, the longitude is changed to east. The coordinates do not change only the direction changes. If I set the longitude of the mount to east, the ASIAIR does not alter it, but if it is set to west, it will always change it to east.
    Also, once the app connects to the mount, the app shows the mounts longitude as east and the phones longitude as west. When I try to sync the mount to the app longitude, it reports “sync succeeded”, but the mounts longitude does not change to west.

    Dear ZWO Support.

    Yesterday I noticed that the software for the ASIAir Pro was updated for the guiding function. With the prior version the Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro mount was tracking beautifully in EQ mod with total correction under 1.00″ arc second in RA and DEC combined. With the new software version it seems to use a multi-star tracking algorithm and the tracking goes completely erractic. I get corrections in the high 50 to 200 arc seconds and it goes up in an spiral.

    Could you please let me know if you have observed such a a problem in the software. Also is it it possible to revert to the prior version software that had the single start tracking since that was working perfectly. I downloaded the new softwared from the Android Play Store.

    Hello I just purchased an ASIAIR PRO, I can connect all the equipment, including an HEQ5 PRO.

    However it seems that sync and sync+goto after plate solving are not being received by the mount.

    I do not proper 1 star align as the setup is purely astrophotographic, I just start the alignment routine on the mount and stop it immediately as successful.
    Then I would like to plate solve and re-sync the mount, but the RA and DEC of the mount never gets updated to the plate solved one.
    Hence I cannot use the ASIAIR …
    What I’m doing wrong ?

      Please try hand controller to check if there is same issue. If HC is OK, please check Time Zone Time Latitude Longtitude(Mount info in App).
