I wasn’t able to get my Samyang 135mm f/2 lens in focus with my ASI183MM camera and EFW filter wheel. What adapter or lens does work with the ASI183MM and filter wheel combination?

Perhaps a dumb question but… how can I detach the adapter from the lens. I cannot bring it out. :-(

Hi. I had one of the EOS-T2 adapters on order with the distributor in Australia who yesterday informed me that there will be no more of these available for quite some time as their delivery from ZWO was cancelled due to a bad production batch. That’s understandable and it’s good that you picked up on the fault before it got out to customers. Can you tell me when they are likely to be ready and will they be the same model ? Thanks.

We are trying hard to produce it again, the old batch is too tight

Of course, I just figured it out right after I posted the question. The “screw” is actually a button that isn’t pushed in or pulled out, but rather pushed up, away from the lens. This disengages the button that sets into the notch on the lens.

I just received my EOS T2 Adapter today from Highpoint Scientific and put it on my Canon EF 50mm. However, I cannot get it off now, and there were no instructions included, and I didn’t see any in the Manuals section of this website. I unscrewed the silver knob on the side, and it still will not budge. What am I missing?

    Hi Sam,
I’m interested in buying this adapter to connect my ASI1600 to my Canon lenses. In doing some research about this adapter, I read on Cloudy Nights that some people were having issues with the adapter getting locked onto the lens and not being able to remove it. More recently, one vendor indicated there was a tolerance issue with the early units and this has since been corrected. Is this true, and if so, are the adapters being sold by you and other online vendors using the corrected adapter? Is there a way to distinguish the new revised adapter?
    Thank You.

      Hi Jim
Yes, we made a new EOS-T2 adapter for about half year ago. So, I believe the EOS-T2 on the market is all new type now. Also you can see the different outlook of two adapters. new one is unadjustable.

I see that you are updating the model type. It says that it is not adjustable. I am wondering how I am going to attach my Cannon EF lenses to this most of them have a back focus of 40MM. Is this model different than the previous one that had adjustments and if so what would I need to allow my lenses to work.
