I’m trying to use this helical focuser with a zwo oag mounted on a SW Esprit 120ed and my zwo asi120mm mini. The ZWO 120mm mini will not sit low enough in the focuser to achieve focus. the lip on the camera prevents the sensor from getting close enough to achieve focus. It’s really not even close. Is this supposed to work with the mini cameras?

Recently, I purchased the ZWO 1.25″ Helical Focuser with the understanding that the stroke range was 0-6mm.
However, the Focuser only goes up to 5.8mm and not 6mm as advertised. Is this how it’s suppose to be?
I like the Focuser, but I wanted know and make sure that there is nothing actually wrong with it. Hope to hear back from you soon.

Having some difficulty with backfocus on an Edge HD8 with .7 reducer. When I install the helical focuser, do I take off the 5mm spacer? Also, do I need the 1.25 nosepiece on the 290mm mini?
I’ve done the measurements and focused during the day, but nothing at night, even with bright stars in view.

Can I use this helical focuser with the ZWO 60280 Finder and Guide Scope? I bought this focuser with the intent of using it with this guide scope, but it does not seem to easily attach. Any suggestions? I am trying to avoid rotating the camera while focusing.

It is designed to fit with OAG. There is no need to add this focuser to guide scope.

Also, can I put this between the ASI120MM-S and 30F4 mini scope? The focusser on the guide scope rotates the image when it is rotated which makes it tricky to get right.

Sorry that the HF1.25 only can work with MIni cameras. If you have one ASI462MC camera, OAG can be worked with ASI462MC directly.

Yes,you can think of it that way.
Because the Helocal Focuser works with OAG, which the one connect to guide camera. In general the guide camera is non-cooled camera.
