Is this guide scope a good pairing with the Celestron Omni 150? And if so what do I need to get to mount it on the tube? The camera I have is the ZWO1290 mini

Normally I recommend the guide scope focal length should be 1/4 of the main scope. and mini guide scope provide 1.25″ female thread and M42*0.75 male thread as you can see from the mechanical drawing.

Hi, I just bought an ASI 120 mini and the guidescope and I am having real problems on making focus, I have to move the thread to the very end of the scope and even in that case I can barely see starts. Is there any guide or manual I can use to know how to use the items properly? I see no manual about the guidescope on the website.

Hi, I am struggling to get my 120mm mini mounted on a 30F4 in focus. I use the ASIAir Pro and would appreciate any advice here. Based on the comments above, I have shifted the camera position with no luck. The mount is an EQ 6R Pro with an Skywatcher Esprit ED120

You can rotate the black lens barrel at the front of the 30F4 to adjust the focus. And the red ring in the middle is used to fix the position.

Hi, I use the guide scope together with the ZWO 120 Mini for guiding my DSLR astrophotographey. While the ASIAIR doesn‘t support my DSLR (Sony ILCA-99m2), I use the 120 Mini in the ASIAIR app as main camera to do the PA and pointing the GoTo to my target, before I switch it back to guiding camera. I placed the guide scope in the finder shoe of my skywatcher explorer 150pds. Unfortunately the guide scope isn‘t aligned to telescope than. Can I align the axis of the guide scope with the axis of the telescope with the delivered holder?

Could you adjust the screws of the finder shoe in your skywatcher explorer 150pds to make the guide scope on the same axis with your main telescope?
Do the alignment in the daylight will be easier.
And yes you can also insert the guide scope holder onto the main telescope.

    Hi
I have a ZWO 120MM-C camera that I want to use for guiding potentially with this guider scope(30mm).
Ideally, I want to use it on two setups:
    1) Sky Watcher Star Adventurer with a DSLR camera.
    2) Mounted on my Meade LX 8″ 2000FL.

Would it be ideal for this or would I be better off with a 50mm as the Meade would have a narrower FOV ?

    Thanks

I am considering using my ASI120MC-S camera with the ZWO Mini Guide Scope. My goal is to have an electronic finder that can work in a light polluted environment. Is there a way to attach a sky glow filter (possibly underneath the camera’s T2-C/CS mount adapter)? Do you recommend any particular filter (possibly the 1¼” Duo-band filter)?

Sorry I do not have any recommended filter, if you have a filter you may change the protective galss with a filter.

What is the best way to use the ZWO MiniGuide ‘Scope with either the ASI120MC-S or the ASI178MC camera AND position a light pollution filter? Is there a sky glow filter that mounts on the ‘scope’s objective or on either camera (maybe as a replacement for the infrared cut window)? I want to use my cameras as electronic finders (only secondarily, as guiders) but, so far (with the 2.8-12mm lens), I have not been able to “punch through” the significant pollution. My hope is that the ‘scope’s focal length will be such that a typical star or planet image will just about fully fill a pixel group; with the 2.8-12mm lens, star images are too small and are swamped by the glow. I do not want to use a larger ‘scope (for example, the 60280 finder/guider) in order to achieve the widest possible field of view.
    Thank you.

Sorry there is no place for filter between MiniGuide Scope and ASI120MC-S or ASI178MC.
Yes you can replace the protective window as a filter by yourself.
