Product Description

This adapter can be used on all  uncooled ASI cameras to reduce the back focus distance to around 5mm

so you can focus on some very short back focus scopes such like PST

Please note : when you open the camera, make sure it is on a flat surface with the lens pointed upwards. If it is not in this orientation the glass that shields the sensor may fall out which can cause dust to get on the sensor.

low profile cover

just unscrew the old cover off and screw in the new one

PS: this new cover can not hold the protect window of ASI174MM/MC, so you need an external 1.25″ filter

What is the thread diameter and pitch?

    • Sam Wen

      :

      It’s M59X0.75

  2. :

You says “this new cover can hold the protect window of ASI174MM/MC, so you need an external 1.25″ filter”…
I don’t understand this cover can or can’t hold the protect window of an ASI 174MM ?
    Thx

    • Sam Wen

      :

      sorry, it should be “cannot”
so you need extra 1.25″ filter

  3. :

Is it compatible with the ASI120MM-S camera (https://astronomy-imaging-camera.com/products/usb-3-0/asi120mm-s/)?

    • Sam Wen

      :

      yes

  4. :

Let me confirm the specification of this.
    (1) Is it usable for ASI174MC ?
    (2) Can I attach 1.25″ reducer on this ?

    • Sam Wen

      :

      yes, you can

  5. :

Is there any chance to have a T2 version of this low profile adapter? This way it might be directly attached to the mini filter wheel

  6. :

I have used this successfully to get focus on the PST. It works well. One point worth making – when you open the camera, make sure it is on a flat surface with the lens pointed upwards. If it is not in this orientation the glass that shields the sensor may fall out which can cause dust to get on the sensor.
